It is not surprising, in fact,\u00a0<b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wechat.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WeChat<\/a> mobile app became one<\/b><b>\u00a0of the <\/b><b>favourite<\/b><b> payments method for Chinese consumers<\/b>, even though is now facing <a href=\"https:\/\/intl.alipay.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alipay<\/a> competition.<\/p>\n<p>Among the last developments, these applications are opening toward the business world, allowing even the smallest realities to simplify payment experiences, which are flanking\u00a0traditional methods. This is one of the reasons why WeChat grew by 35% yoy, registering <strong>768 million users\u00a0<\/strong>at the end of 2016, with 200 million who\u00a0linked their bank ATM cards with the app.<\/p>\n<p>Also 50% of total e-commerce in China takes place on mobile devices, compared to 20% in the USA and 35% in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>At <b>Twissen<\/b> we observed that Chinese travel habits are heavily influencing the international Travel &amp; Tourism industry.
